A Letter to Paw Paw

My seventh grade class was given the assignment of writing a letter to our Grandparents. I have always called my grandfather, Paw Paw. I started calling him that when I was a baby and I suppose he will always be Paw Paw to me.

I never thought that my grandfather would be so impressed with one short letter. But he was! I never realized that the simple things that I said in my letter would make my Grandfather feel so good. He was so proud of this letter that he showed it to everyone he saw.

I understood then that just telling someone that you miss seeing them could make a difference in their lives. When I told Paw Paw how much I missed seeing him, it made me feel so good to know that it meant so much for him to know that. I believe that my letter to my Grandfather made us much closer and that is what family is all about. The letter made my whole family realize how important it is to let each of us show our love to each other.

We have found, as a family that doing the Faith Alive at Home pages has helped us to show more love to each other.

Is there anyone to whom you would like to write a letter?
