Saying Thank You to Parish Leaders
In my son Danny's second Grade Religion book, Coming to Jesus, there was an activity that we did together as a family. In the activity, families were invited to make a certificate for someone who serves a leadership role in their parish. We made certificates for our Pastor, Director of Religious Education, and our Music Minister.

This activity not only enabled us to thank these wonderful people but it also gave us the opportunity to think about the many ways they serve the parish. We used the following prayer from Danny's religion book but we decorated each certificate uniquely.

Dear follower of Jesus
You help us to see
How to live our Catholic faith
In Jesus' community.
Our family wants to thank you
In a very special way
You share the love of Jesus
And for you we will pray.
