Live Your Values
On our daughter Emily's thirteenth birthday we gave her a T-shirt with the saying "Live Your Values" printed on it. In our birthday card, my wife and I described how very special Emily is to us and to God. We explained how important it is for all of us to live our values and to stand up for what is right and good.

A year later, Emily received an assignment in the Faith Alive at Home and in the Parish section of her religion book to make up a personal slogan. The slogan was to express her point of view about life. Without hesitation Emily wrote, "Live Your Values."

How proud we were that Emily not only understood this important statement but also that she chooses to live it out in her life. The Faith Alive at Home assignment renewed and reaffirmed Emily's appreciation for values that we had hoped for as she became a teenager.

"Live Your Values"
Are values such as trust, honesty, and kindness important to you?

Why?

What other values do you consider to be important?
