We Remember Mary
The month of May has traditionally been a month in which we give special devotion and honor to Mary. This is a wonderful month in which to pray the Rosary with your family. Some times people mistakenly think that the Rosary is an old fashioned prayer. Or sometimes they say that repeating the same prayers over and over again is boring. Well my family says the Rosary in a way that is never boring. On Sunday, when the house is filled with the Sunday newspapers, each person in my family is assigned to find a photograph and a story about different people or countries throughout the world. We each choose a decade of the rosary during which we pray in a special way for this country. It works like this:

The photo and story does not always have to be an exact match. It makes us feel good, though, that for a few brief moments we pray for someone or someplace for which no one had ever prayed.
