Making Our Sunday
Celebration a Family Affair
My children's Catechist has been talking to them about the Jubilee year.
She especially recommended that they tell their families about the importance
of celebrating the Sabbath day together. The catechist sent home a note
with the children asking us to reflect on the Sunday Gospel. She also
enclosed a list of petitions for us to fill out as a family. My husband
and I were really impressed by the way our children participated in this
project.
After the petitions
were filled out, we brought them to Church the following Sunday. Not every
child gets a chance to read his or her own petition every Sunday, but
every petition is read.
You might want to
fill out the following Petition list with your family.
