A Summer Play
This activity has become a tradition in our family. Each summer my children and their friends put on a summer play. We choose a story about Jesus, Mary, or one of the Saints and make a play out of it.

This activity has turned out to be a blessing in many ways. First of all the children make all their own costumes, scenery and so forth. It keeps them busy almost all summer.

On the day of the presentation, everyone sits in our backyard and watches the play. This year the children are working on the story of Jesus and the Lost Sheep. This is a wonderful play as many of the children can just be sheep. (No lines and all they need is to wear a white sheet.) After the play I usually serve a nice dessert and we end with an evening prayer.
