To Parents and Catechists: Sometimes in summer we have more reflection time. This activity has the youngsters doing some thinking about their families and how they relate to the holy family. Why not join in the fun with the finger puppets?

The Holy Family

Jesus is our friend. He is with us in our family. Jesus wants us to be a community of his friends.

The Holy Family is the family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Nazareth is the town where the holy family lived.

How is your family like the Holy Family? How is your family different from the Holy Family?

Color the Holy Family finger puppets, and then cut them out.

1. Now, color and cut out these finger puppets. Use the 2 blank finger puppets to draw yourself and someone else in your family.

2. Tape tabs A and B together.

3. Use the Holy Family puppets to make up a play about how Jesus helped Mary and Joseph.

4. Use the finger puppets of Jesus and your family to show how you help in your family. Show how Jesus is a part of your family too.

5. Show what you can do to make your family more like the Holy Family.
