Virtual Tour of Jerusalem This site—maintained by Snunit, the Center for the Advance of Web Based Learning at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem—offers a colorful tour of present-day Jerusalem as well as a marvelous "mosaic" of words and images that brings the ancient city to life. There are visits to historic sites, articles about such biblical figures as King David and the prophet Isaiah, and pictures and descriptions of the foods eaten and the clothing worn during various periods in Jerusalem’s long history.

Yad Vashem: The Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes’ Remembrance Authority This is the official Web site of Jerusalem’s Yad Vashem holocaust memorial. Among the site’s many offerings are online exhibits from the memorial’s photo Links Archives, a timeline of the holocaust, teaching units, and full coverage, in text and pictures, of Pope John Paul II’s visit to Yad Vashem on March 23, 2000.
